“The group returns to Fort Worth, and the home of Hell’s Half Acre once again inspires hot blood and sharp tongues. Bubba, going solo, reckons with both East Texas Kenny and Cowboy Matt to win prize finds, though Mary could be the one reeling in the big catch.”
Mary and Jenny team up to buy some good lockers. Both girls are out in the rain at an auction and want some lockers full of good furniture. No idea where Moe is, but this seems to be a new partnership. For this first day of bidding, Mary has no money and will need Jenny to cover the bidding costs. They do win the first locker of the day.
We also meet new bidder, Kenny, who also runs an auction house.
Mary is focused on what she needs at these lockers in Texarkana, which is raw materials. Mary needs basic items to be creative and put something together. Jenny says her customers like country items, so she is focused on that. For some reason, Victor is giving Jenny the silent treatment when she tries to be friendly.
We saw this great episode again: Jenny is trying to get some bidding and buying tips from Bubba and Ricky, but by way of evesdropping on them. She learns the hard way that this isn’t the right way to learn and they trick her with having her bid up and win a worthless locker. Mary is pretty funny in this one with trying a new bidding call when buying.
We saw the episode again where Mary and Moe buy the storage unit with the SUV inside. As they cannot enter the unit, the car looks ok, might just need a little work. Mary thinks her Dad can get it running in no time and she will have a cool new car. Once they buy it and can finally get in, the car has no engine and is missing other major parts! Finally Mary admits defeat and they simply haul the car away to the crusher.
Jenny does focus on a big furniture locker with her mom and wins it. She is only bid up a little bit by Bubba. Ricky and Bubba are there to buy big lockers to build up their inventory for a big sale as their warehouse. The tools locker Bubba buys ends up being just about empty of all the tools. Moe and Mary need big items, but end up buying a locker full of mystery plastic tubs. Against Mary’s advice, Moe does buy the bins locker and they end up with a valuable gun site, worth $325 dollars.
Mary says she wants to attract new customers and wants some nice single items, no projects this time. Her and Moe don’t bid on the luggage, motorcycle or office furniture in this round and leave with nothing. Jenny does get her old Polaroid camera’s appraised, her 1972 camera does end up being worth $500 and she breaks even on her locker.
Jenny says she had a big sale at her shop and needs to buy furniture to fill her store. Mary is trying her new bid call “biddage” and Jenny tests her evesdropping skills. Ricky and Bubba purposely build up a locker in value when talking about it, to teach Jenny a lesson. She ends up buying the locker and it turns out to be a dud.
Jenny says she is shopping for lockers with furniture, just needing a little fix up, and she can sell easily. She is sticking with what works. Moe and Mary don’t bring their big truck and are shopping small as Moe is injured and Mary has to push him around in a wheelchair. With Moe and Mary not in top bidding form, Victor scores a cheap locker with some tree climbing equipment in it.
Mary says she needs a hoopty-ride, and goes after a locker with a car in it. She thinks it can be fixed up right away for her to drive. Jenny is focused on any type of item for her store as she said she needs everything. Mary ends up crushing her car as too many parts were missing and it was a bust.
